Q: How long does a Shellie last?
A: It depends on usage. Users typically keep it on as it does not affect functionality. For day to day activities, it typically lasts up to months. The translucent version may get dirty over time but still functional. You can follow the care instructions provided here to freshen up your Shellie. If you use it extensively at the beach, it may need to be replaced more often.
Q: Is the Shellie easy to put on?
A: Yes! Please see our Instructions page or this instructional video or contact us for a demonstration through video chat.
Q: Does the Shellie work with any foot and/or foot shell?
A: Usually, yes! If you get a suitable size and don it correctly and with care, it should work for any foot/ankle and foot shell. For deep water usage, some footshells work better.
Q: What size Shellie should I get?
A: You have a few of options: 1) Provide us with a description (or better yet, a photo) ofyour foot assembly, and we will select a suitable size for you. 2) Have a look at our Gallery to find your right size. 3) Guess, regret, repeat!
Q: Can I get the Shellie in other colours?
A: Sorry, not yet ... unless we receive enough requests for a specific colour.
Q: What else can the Shellie do?
A: Glad you asked! You can attach it to flip-flops or sandals using Velcro (or a heavy-duty snap button) secured to the bottom stirrup. Watch this video for step-by-step instructions.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Absolutely!
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: It depends on where you are:
- Canada: 3 - 5 business days
- United States: 5 - 10 business days
- Other countries: 10 - 21 business days
-> If you happen to need your order sooner, you can contact us before ordering and we can arrange expedited shipping for an additional cost.
Q: Is Shellie covered by insurance?
A: Please talk with your prosthetist or healthcare provider about this. In the United States, they may use the HCPCS code L5962.
Q: What are your return and exchange policies?
